IMPRODROM2026 – WARSZTATY/WORKSHOPS

11.09.2026 / 10:00 – 13.00 / Monsters and Motivations / 150 zł

Teacher: Jon Nguyen

This workshop is for all improvisers from beginners to those with years of experience. In it we will explore playing non-human characters and making the audience care about them beyond a single laugh. Looking at the different shapes our bodies can make both in isolation and as a team and various techniques to bring them to life in a fun and theatrical way.

● Making large creatures with multiple improvisers connecting physically
● Using our voices to convey monstrous tones
● Exploring the everyday with fantastical beings
Jon Nguyen (he/him) is a British / Vietnamese improviser who enjoys both heart felt and ridiculously silly improv in equal measure. He has trained with various improv schools in the United Kingdom and plays both narrative and scene based improv. Jon teaches for various improv institutions within the UK and has taught at international festivals bringing his own brand of delight, caring and whimsy. He truly endeavors to make improv inclusive, connected and fun both on and off stage.

Teachers: Liz Peters / Rebecca MacMillan / Joe Samuel

Inspired by The Maydays’ acclaimed show Happily Never After, we’ll explore the beautiful, bizarre and delightfully dark corners of creating theatre through spontaneous song.
This intensive is for intermediate to experienced improvisers with some musical improv experience who want to push their skills in singing, movement and ensemble musical storytelling. Dive into the playful world of musical improv through:
● Character-driven musical scenes inspired by fairy tales.
● Group singing with melody, rhythms, counterpoint and soundscapes
● Physicality: playful ensemble movement and stage presence.
● Collaborative freeform musical storytelling with emotional depth and theatricality.
Expect creative risk-taking and spontaneous musical magic that will give you tools for bringing song, character and theatricality into your improv and the confidence to explore musical improv in new ways. Magical, otherworldly and always playful; just bring your energy, your imagination and a willingness to get weird!
Liz Peters has been performing professionally for 25 years, having trained as an actor at Mountview in London before studying improv at iO Chicago and with many teachers from other improv schools. A player with The Maydays since 2009, she has improvised throughout Europe at numerous festivals and performs regularly at Komedia Brighton.

11.09.2026 / 14:00 – 17:00 / “About Us: Autobiography and Self-Expression in Improv” / 150 zł

Teacher: Juwel Haque

To make our characters and stories in our improv deep, rich and interesting, we can draw from the deepest well we know: ourselves. In this class, we’ll practice techniques that can help us infuse our characters with our own minds and lives, pulling from a few different dimensions of the self. And we’ll learn how to be the best scene partners in enabling and uplifting our colleagues when they do the same.

Learning points:
● offer your knowledge and interests as playthings in scenes, and learn to ask or play along if you don’t know;
● have fun sharing your opinions and giving those to your characters, and learn to react to other opinions in empowering ways;
● you never have nothing: even your immediate physical sensation is a perfectly fine scene starter, and together you and your partner can make a universe.
Juwel Haque is an improvisation teacher, performer and director. He teaches classes and courses for beginners, enthusiasts and professionals alike, with AndAlso Improv and at festivals. His style is relaxed and encouraging, creating a safe and trusting environment within which to take risks. Juwel is passionate not just about sharing his own expertise but also about cultivating insightful players who can reflect and think for themselves.

12.09.2026 / 10:00 / Intensywne warsztaty impro z doskonalenia scen 2-osobowych / 300 zł

W końcu to impro.

Karolina Norkiewicz – absolwentka filologii polskiej na Uniwersytecie Warszawskim. Komiczka, improwizatorka, scenarzystka, autorka tekstów piosenek i instruktorka improwizacji teatralnej. Ukończyła liczne kursy improwizacji teatralnej, m.in. w teatrach w Chicago (iO, the Annoyance).

„Śpiewaj zanim pękniesz” to intensywne laboratorium improwizowanej piosenki.
Piosenka w impro działa najmocniej wtedy, gdy wynika z prawdziwej potrzeby postaci.
